Preparation Method
Prepare the lemon peels
Wash the lemons thoroughly. Peel them using a knife or vegetable peeler, avoiding too much of the white pith to reduce bitterness.
Boil the water
Pour 3β4 cups of water into a saucepan and bring it to a boil.
Add the lemon peels and optional ingredients
Add the lemon peels to the boiling water. If desired, include ginger or spices for additional flavor and benefits.
Simmer
Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for 10β15 minutes.
Strain and serve
Strain the liquid into a mug or jar. Add lemon juice and sweetener if desired. Serve warm or let it cool and enjoy as an iced tea.
