Brown the beef

Transfer to slow cooker
Add the beef to your slow cooker.
Add base ingredients
Stir in onion, garlic, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and bay leaves.
Add vegetables
Mix in the bell peppers and mushrooms.
Cook low and slow
Low: 8 hours
High: 4 hours
Cook pasta separately
About 20 minutes before serving, cook pasta until al dente. Drain.
Finish the dish
Remove bay leaves. Stir pasta into the goulash.
Add cheese
Sprinkle cheddar on top and let it melt before serving.
