For the dressing:
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup salsa
1 tablespoon taco seasoning
Preparation Method
Cook the beef
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat, then add taco seasoning and a little water (according to packet instructions). Simmer for a few minutes, then let it cool slightly.
Prepare the dressing
In a small bowl, mix together the sour cream, salsa, and taco seasoning until smooth. Set aside.
Layer the salad
In a large glass bowl, assemble the layers in this order:
Crushed tortilla chips (bottom layer)
Diced bell peppers
Chopped lettuce
Seasoned ground beef
Spread the dressing evenly over the beef
Shredded cheddar cheese
Diced avocado
Diced tomatoes
Sprinkle chopped green onions on top
Chill and serve
Refrigerate for about 20–30 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld together. Serve chilled and enjoy!
