Preparation Method
Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Layer the chicken
Spread the raw chicken pieces evenly across the bottom of the dish. Season lightly with salt and pepper if desired.
Add the green beans
Scatter the drained (or thawed and dried) green beans evenly over the chicken layer.
Spread the creamy layer
Spoon the condensed soup over the green beans and gently spread it to cover the surface.
Do not mix the layers—this keeps the texture balanced.
Prepare the topping
In a bowl, combine the crushed crackers (or breadcrumbs) with the melted butter. Mix until evenly coated.
Top the casserole
Sprinkle the buttery crumb mixture evenly over the top.
Bake
Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked (internal temperature reaches 165°F / 74°C) and the topping is golden and crispy.
Rest and serve
Let the casserole rest for about 5 minutes before serving to allow the sauce to set slightly.
